Paris/ Iraq TradeLink: The UNESCO's sources reported that Iraq nominated its ex-health minister Dr.
Saleh al-Hasnawi for the post of the director genera, among five more, including Egypt, Qatar, Lebanon, Azerbaijan, Vietnam, China, France and Guatemala.
It is expected a hearing session will be held for the nominees on 26-27 April, 2017.
The duration of the post will be for four years, where the nominee has the right to be nominated for a second and final term.
Dr. al-Hasnawi was a member of the Iraqi parliament for two terms, as well the ex-health minister as well as consultant physician in psychology.
