"Iran is not going to leave part of Saudi Arabia, except in the holy places, if it commits folly, " Iranian Defense Minister Hussain Dehqan was quoted as saying after Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, threatened to transfer the "battle" to Iran .
"If the Saudis commit any folly, we will not leave an area like Mecca and Medina, " Tasnim news agency quoted Dahqan as saying .
Dehqan, who made the comments to Al-Manar TV, echoed comments by Prince Mohammad, who said on Tuesday any power struggle between Saudi Arabia and Iran should take place "inside Iran, not in Saudi Arabia."
