The leader of the State of Law Coalition, former MP Jassim Mohammed Jaafar, confirmed on Monday that the issue of ministerial reshuffle is very likely during the next few days, but the reshuffle will be minor and will not exceed three ministerial portfolios at most.
Jaafar said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, "The ministerial amendment that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani is threatening will happen very soon due to the insistence of the Prime Minister, and some political blocs have a desire to replace their ministers due to their dissatisfaction with them."
He added, "The ministerial reshuffle will be minor, as it will not exceed three ministerial portfolios at most, and with the approval of their political blocs."
He said, "Al-Sudani's insistence on making the amendment comes in line with his commitment to the government program approved by the House of Representatives."
A close political source confirmed to Al-Maalouma, last Saturday, the failure of the talks between Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and the head of the Al-Fatah Alliance, Hadi Al-Amiri, and the head of the Al-Hikma Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, regarding the ministerial amendment that Al-Sudani intends to carry out.
