    Shafaq News / Joint Operations Command announced on Tuesday that more than 200 wanted suspects were arrested, including prominent elements of al-Qaeda in different parts of the country within the "Revenge for martyrs” operation.
     
    “As a continuation of Revenge for martyrs operation our security forces continued work and were able to arrest during the last 24 hours , (109) wanted in accordance with Article 4 / terrorism including important elements of al-Qaeda,” A statement issued by the leadership of the joint operations received by "Shafaq News”.

    “According to information security and intelligence, those forces arrested (98) required on different criminal cases,” The statement added.

    The Iraqi military forces, backed by air cover are carrying out series of operations in Baghdad belt areas and several provinces, including Salahuddin as a part of broad security plan to arrest al-Qaeda militants, according to security sources.

    The security forces announced that it had arrested more than 600 people some of them wanted according to Article IV of terrorism suspects and involved different criminal cases since the start of the process of "revenge for martyrs" operation earlier this month.
