BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraqi  
Vice President Nuri Kamal al-Maliki on Saturday stressed the need for Iraqi youth to face "sectarianism and enemy schemes," warning them of a "bad fruit" that he said was "deviant ideas."
While the head of the National Alliance, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, called for the issuance of legislation that provides the appropriate environment for the empowerment of young people and provide all opportunities for them, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sheikh Hammoud Hamoudi stressed the need to strengthen the spirit of confidence and courage of this segment and to confirm its belonging to its national and Islamic identity.
Maliki said during a speech at a ceremony held on the occasion of World Youth Day:
Al-Maliki called on young people to "take responsibility and contribute to the process of building Iraq and address all deviant ideas seeking to exploit the youth as a means of demolition." He pointed out that "the challenges and tasks facing the people are promoted by young people because they have the hardness, , The more the crisis on Iraq, the youth of Iraq moved to stand up to the challenges and defend the dignity and independence of Iraq, the latest heroic position in which our youth responded to the call of the nation and the supreme reference to face the fiercest and the most vicious wave of terrorism suffered by the homeland, Pure nation lives and were able to save Iraq from an onslaught of stopping everyone behind it . »
In turn, said the President of the National Alliance in a statement to his media office on the occasion of World Youth Day and received «morning»: "We affirm our firm belief that youth are the foundation of the future and that they are the driving force for development and building of decent societies. We celebrate World Youth Day," he said. "We hope that the institutions of the state will help young people to occupy positions that facilitate their role in Construction process service for future generations ».
Al-Hakim pointed out that «young people are the arms that protect and build the homeland, and are the hope and basis for building a human society in which everyone lives safely and happily», calling on this occasion to «practical solutions to meet the challenges that prevent the realization of their hopes and aspirations».
The President of the National Alliance stressed the need to issue legal legislation that provides the appropriate environment to enable young people and provide all opportunities for them and in order to achieve progress and prosperity for our people and for future generations.
For his part, called on the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives to «provide opportunities for young people and involve them in the political process and decision-making councils», stressing «the need to strengthen the spirit of confidence and courage of this segment and confirm its belonging to its national and Islamic identity».
Hamoudi stressed in a press statement the importance of creating comprehensive spaces for the rehabilitation and recruitment of young cadres and the absorption of graduates according to moderate policies that protect them from the danger of extremism and lost thought as the permanent wealth and the cornerstone of the future of Iraq.
