    [ltr]BAGHDAD - Baghdad Mayor Amina Aloush on Sunday ordered the removal of concrete barriers and scraps used to block streets and hamper services in a number of Karrada neighborhoods.[/ltr]
    [ltr]A statement of the secretariat received / Mawazin News, a copy of it, "Alloush during a field trip within the district of the municipality of Karrada to see the reality of the service with the Undersecretary of the Municipality of Baghdad for municipal affairs and the director general of the municipality of Karrada.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The statement added that "Amina Baghdad has directed the need to double the services provided to citizens and attention to the appearance of public streets and remove distortions, including barriers and scraps old used in the closure of part of the streets and alleys and obstruct the provision of services to citizens."[/ltr]
    [ltr]"Amina Baghdad also directed early preparations for the rainy season and the need to carry out intensive campaigns to clean and maintain lines and networks of sewage and rain drainage and address the problems suffered by some neighborhoods in the past seasons."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The statement added that "the directive also included the need for joint coordination with the Baghdad Operations Command to follow up all abuses and remove them and prevent their return and take legal action against violators and offenders."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The statement pointed out that "the municipality of Karrada began to remove the concrete blocks and lift them from the river street near the Korean Embassy and in the 31st Street and ongoing in the implementation of the campaign, which includes all streets and alleyways in coordination with the Baghdad Operations Command and the provincial council and municipal council."[/ltr]
