(Baghdad: al-Furat News) The head of the National Alliance, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, that the step of the referendum can not pass as the previous steps that exceeded the Iraqi constitution.
"The step of the referendum can not pass as the previous steps that went beyond the Iraqi constitution and the laws because it exceeded all the red lines," Mr. Ammar al-Hakim said at the al-Husseini condolence council for the sixth night of Muharram.
He warned of "the repercussions of the referendum of Kurdistan region on Iraq and the region," asserting that "the people of Kurdistan will be the biggest affected by this step, Iraq can not be sacrificed alone, and the region can not accept maps imposed by force."
He added that "the advice of the Kurdish leaders came from the door to read the future and love them," stressing "the need to awaken from the experiences of arrogance and self-esteem exercised by some leaders in Iraq and the region and ended up with tragic consequences for them and their people."
