    Naciri pointed out that "participants in the demonstration expressed their rejection of the privatization project because it caused injustice to the people of the province of Dhi Qar, and the fact that the company invested in the electricity sector recently issued lists of collection of electricity wages in large amounts does not suit the economic conditions of the population of the province, One-third of its population is below the poverty line and unemployment is rampant among its graduates and others. " 
    Naciri called on the local and federal governments to cancel the electricity privatization project and reconsider the new pricing imposed by the Ministry of Electricity.
    "The citizens will adopt a campaign (we will not pay) to face the privatization of electricity in protest against the damage caused by the privatization project."

    Al-Badri pointed out that "the government is trying to divert attention from corruption files in the electricity sector and cover the thefts of billions in the Ministry of Electricity through the privatization project," noting that "the ministry spent more than 40 billion dollars on the electricity sector, but without any tangible improvement In increasing the production of energy and the work of the electricity system. "
    He pointed out that "the investment of Himalaya in the electricity sector is not aimed at the development of electricity production, but to collect more funds of citizens and poor and low-income groups, which calls us to stand against the privatization project," hinting to "the existence of collusion between government agencies and the investor company to drain the poor Low-income people ". 
    In turn, the civil activist Karim Saidi said in an interview for "range", "The Iraqi citizen is no longer heard from the government only promises and privatization projects that drain the resources of citizens." 
    "Privatization projects adopted by the government in the fields of health, education, electricity and industry all proved to be unsuccessful because they did not develop these sectors, despite the large amounts of money that they collect from citizens in return for poor services," Saidi said.
    "Privatization projects represent a sale to the public sector and government companies for the benefit of private sector companies that are only interested in making more profits at the expense of citizens," Saidi said. 
    He called on the federal government and the Integrity Commission to "investigate the privatization files of government projects and the huge sums spent by the Ministry of Electricity under the pretext of developing production, which has not seen any development or improvement since 2003 until now."
