Iraqi Oil Minister Jabbar al-Allaibi said on Sunday that Iraq will begin exporting oil from Kirkuk fields to Iran before the end of January.
"About 30,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude will be transported by truck to Iran's Kreman refinery at the start of export," Allaibi told reporters.
Al-Luaibi had announced earlier that his country had signed an agreement with Iran to export crude oil from oil fields in Kirkuk at a rate of 30 to 60 thousand barrels per day.
