    [rtl]The yield on US Treasuries for two years jumped 2% on Friday for the first time since the global financial crisis.[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]By 4:07 pm GMT, the yield on two-year US bonds rose 4 basis points to 2.01% after hitting 2.035% earlier in the session.[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]The yield on two-year government bonds exceeded 2% for the first time since September 2008.[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]During the same period, the 5-year US Treasury yield rose 4 basis points to 2.36%, the highest since March 2011.[/rtl]
