Former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Hussain al-Shahristani called on the House of Representatives to call everyone who was named in the "Una Oil" scandal, expressing his readiness to cooperate with any investigative body to reach the truth.
In a statement received by al-Shahristani, al-Shahristani's office said in a statement that it had issued several statements since April 2016. He called on the prime minister, the Integrity Commission, the Supreme Judicial Council and the Ministry of Oil to investigate allegations of corruption in some foreign newspapers about the involvement of Onawil, In Iraq, "noting that" Shahristani expressed his readiness to testify before any investigative committee inside and outside Iraq and was the first to volunteer to go to the investigative committee established by the Integrity Commission and without saying it. "
The statement added that "Shahristani attended a meeting with the committee formed in the House of Representatives to investigate the subject to provide them with information and assured the Committee the need to call all those named in this subject to reach the facts and to inform the Iraqi people, and to prosecute all those involved in the case of corruption and the restoration of any money Those involved were smuggled out of Iraq. "
