The General Company for Food Trade in the Ministry of Commerce announced on Monday evening, cutting off the monthly ration ration for the month of February for sugar, oil and rice.
The company's director general, Qassim Hamoud, said in a statement received by the Baghdad Post, "The quantities assessed per capita are 3 kg of rice, 2 kg of sugar, 1 liter of edible oil," in addition to the 9 kg flour ration, Indicating that "the ministry and within its instructions prevent agents from the deduction of any additional amounts of transportation wages of citizens."
"Hammoud" that "the processing of these materials are after the emergence of validity for consumption and human use," noting that "the distribution of materials by the agent for citizens takes 20 days of each month."
He added that "the company and in the plans and programs to support the national product provided large quantities of sugar and oil domestic by contracting with the Iraqi private sector, which contributed to the provision of hard currency and reduce the expenses that were paid to the foreign importer.
