Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry on Saturday denied reports of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to Iraq.
"There is no truth to what some media are discussing about the Crown Prince's visit to the brotherly Republic of Iraq," the official account of the Saudi foreign ministry said on Twitter.
The official SPA news agency quoted an official source as saying that "there is no truth to what is being discussed by some media about the visit of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense to the brotherly Republic of Iraq."
"The source pointed out at the conclusion of his statement, the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and the recent positive developments in all fields"
News and media previously reported that Ibn Salman was likely to visit Baghdad soon
A member of the Iraqi-Iraqi friendship committee in the Iraqi parliament, Amer al-Fayez, told Sputnik that "Saudi Crown Prince Prince Mohammed bin Salman is likely to visit Baghdad soon, at the official invitation of Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi."[/ltr]
