    [ltr]Iraq and Japan on Thursday signed two agreements on the Greater Basrah water project and land reclamation.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The media office of Prime Minister Haider Abadi said in a statement received by "Mawazin News" that "Iraq and Japan signed in the Japanese capital Tokyo two agreements concerning the first completion of the draft water of Basra, the Great Haritha to provide water to the people of the city of Basra, while the second agreement on land reclamation between Euphrates and Tigris in the irrigation sector the second phase ".[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Prime Minister Haider Abadi and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe."[/ltr]
    [ltr]"Japan will support Iraq in the field of reconstruction as well as the international community," said Shinzo Abe, adding that "Iraq's experience in fighting terrorism and winning it deserves praise and study."[/ltr]
    [ltr]For his part, Abadi stressed that "Iraq wants to strengthen its relations with countries, including Japan, and we have now moved to the stage of construction and reconstruction and we will win it, as we have won on the Dahesh."[/ltr]
    [ltr]"We discussed with Japanese officials the development of sectors and oil files, energy, electricity, services, education, industry and others, maximizing the potential of Iraq and we have seen eagerly for Japanese companies to work in Iraq," he said[/ltr]
