(Reuters) - Prime Minister-designate Haidar al-Abadi on Saturday accused "political foes" of trying to divide Iraqi security forces.
"Terrorism wanted to eliminate the peaceful coexistence of all sects in Iraq, but it failed miserably because the Iraqis united in confronting it," Abbadi said in a speech at a conference of nominees in Baghdad.
He added that "even in politics there is a sense that wanted to divide the security forces teams and aftershocks."
