    The Iraqi government on Sunday welcomed the historic meeting between North and South Korea's leaders, noting that reconciliation is the foundation for peace.
    "We welcome the historic meeting that brought together the North and South Korean leaders and resulted in the signing of a peace agreement between the two neighbors," said a statement from the Foreign Ministry. "We hope that the two sides can take steps that contribute to enhancing security and stability in The Korean peninsula and the world ".
    "We are confident that understanding and reconciliation is the basis for peace and we hope that the conflicts in the world will end and lead to a dialogue that establishes international security," the statement said.
    South Korean President Mon Jie-nen met North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on Friday in the demilitarized zone with the first summit of the two Koreas in more than a decade. Ending / 25 g
