Iraq leads the Arab import of cosmetics and perfumes from Brazil

confirmed the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Sunday, that Iraq topped the list of Arab countries that import personal care and beauty products and fragrances from Brazil over the past year.
"The Secretary-General and Executive Chairman of the Chamber, Michel Halabi, said that Iraq topped the list of Arab countries that import personal care products, cosmetics and perfumes from Brazil last year, while the UAE and Saudi Arabia came in second and third place on the list.
"The sales of these products to the Arab countries amounted to 17.21 million dollars in 2017, an increase of 12.5% over the previous year," Halabi said, noting that "Beauty World Middle East 2018, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center from 8 to May 10, will see the participation of 48 Brazilian companies. "
"Brazilian companies are participating annually in this leading trade fair, given the high demand for innovative Brazilian products by buyers from the Arab world, which is driving us to move forward to strengthen this industry," said Halabi.
Iraq imports most of the goods and services from abroad after almost complete cessation of factories and government plants, as well as the deterioration of the industrial crafts of the private sector.
