Move to open two border markets between Iraq and Iran
29/5/2018 12:00 am [rtl]Baghdad / Al- Sabah announced the governor of Kermanshah , Iran Houshang Bazond, on Monday, his government 's intention to restart the two markets with Iraq border crossings, two Chocma and Theile Koh, soon. "The province of Kermanshah currently enjoys two official border crossing points, namely the Pervez Khan crossing, the Khosravi crossing, and a third semi-official border crossing called Sumar crossing, where most of the export of Iranian goods to Iraq takes place," Basund said. He added that "Iranian exports to Iraq through these crossings are on the rise as daily passing through a thousand and 60 trucks from the Pervez Khan crossing, 350 trucks from the Khosravi crossing and 450 trucks from the Sumar crossing." "We have three border markets in the province, Shaikh Sala, Shoshmi and Tilah Koh, which were closed last year by the Iraqi side, but our embassy negotiations with Baghdad and Iraqi officials have restarted the Sheikh Sala border market and the remaining two markets will be restarted soon," he said.[/rtl] [rtl][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/rtl] |
