Al-Kanani said that the increase in the last pilgrimage of 2017, amounting to 5,000 seats, was temporary and was for the last season, a gift from the Saudi Hajj authorities to Iraq, noting that the Saudi authorities were relying on the 2013 census of Iraq's 33 million people, According to which the number of seats for Iraqi pilgrims sent to the Holy Land, giving 1,000 seats per million people. On the arrangements prepared by the Iraqi Hajj Authority, Kanani explained that the Commission will rent additional housing in Mecca and Medina, and has already held numerous contacts with the stakeholders on the subject, pointing out that the coming days will witness the completion of rental operations for pilgrims covered in Medina and Mecca, Pointing out that the same issue reflected on the transport and meals and camps in Mina and Arafa.
