Oil prices fall as the trade dispute between Washington and Beijing escalates
Oil prices fell nearly 4% on Wednesday as the US-China trade dispute escalated and after Chinese data showed a slowdown in energy demand.
Brent crude fell $ 2.73, or 3.7 percent, to $ 71.92 a barrel.
US benchmark WTI futures fell $ 2.70, or 3.9 percent, to $ 66.47 a barrel.
Earlier in the session, US crude hit $ 66.32, the lowest level since June 22
