    The legal expert Tariq Harb, on Thursday, the existence of a legal article condemning those who touch the divine self by the Penal Code up to seven years imprisonment.
    "Article 42 of the Iraqi Penal Code provides for the imprisonment of any person who touches the divine spirit or suffers from it or insult or minimize it," Harb said in a statement.
    He added that "the penalty applies to anyone who touches or imprints religious symbols of any group or religion in Iraq or tries to undermine them," adding that the term of imprisonment may reach more than seven years.
    "The freedom to believe in religion and to reject another religion is guaranteed to non-believers, symbols and temples of other religions according to the Iraqi Penal Code," Harb said.
