[size=18]Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif expressed his hope that the GCC countries could resolve their differences.

"We hope that the GCC countries will be able to resolve their differences. We are against pressure on Qatar and we still believe that the pressure on Qatar is contrary," he said at a press conference on the sidelines of the 16th meeting of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) international law".

"We are proud of the people of Qatar, who have managed to withstand and improve their situation, and today the only way for all is to return to the negotiating table," according to the newspaper "Al-Sharq" Qatar.

The Iranian foreign minister expressed his country's hope that its relations with Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain would be similar to those of Qatar, Kuwait and Oman.

"It is important for us in the region to realize that we have to live together, and living together requires dialogue, understanding and respect for one another," he said.

"We can not always have someone from the outside protecting us from each other. We have nothing against each other. The GCC and Iran enjoy a single history, religion, destiny and common interests. We face common challenges like extremism and terrorism."

Since May 1, Doha has hosted the 16th Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) meeting with Saudi and Bahraini officials in a unique precedent since the Gulf crisis erupted on 5 June 2017 when Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain Egypt has cut ties with Qatar and imposed a boycott on it, accusing it of supporting terrorism, which Doha categorically denies, describing the actions taken against it as a blockade.

Since then, relations between Qatar and Iran, Saudi Arabia's biggest rival in the region, have been remarkably close. Tehran has repeatedly declared its support for Doha's position in this dispute, while strengthening political and economic contacts between the two sides.
