[size=18]MP Haneen al-Qaddu said on Friday that the presence of the Nineveh provincial council is unconstitutional, illegal and illegitimate. He called for expanding the powers of the crisis cell to act as governor's authorities or to search for other mechanisms that would allow the elections to be filled until the next elections.

Qaddo said in an interview for Alsumaria News, "Nineveh is living in a state of political conflict turned into the corridors of the House of Representatives between the parties willing to resolve the provincial council and other rejecting," noting that "the existence of the Ninewa provincial council is currently unconstitutional or legal or legitimate as it went It has more than six years and the law only talked about four years. "

"The existence of a provincial council with the district administration will create an intersection in dealing with the serious files that are an important part of the challenges of the province, such as the presence of the PKK and the return of displaced families to the Nineveh Plain, with the presence of parties seeking to return to the political facade of the province, That "the Council did not provide anything to the people of the province and could not fight corruption or to submit projects for Nineveh, and there are those who demand the presence of Turkish forces and those who want to join some areas to Kurdistan."

"There is a need to expand the powers of the crisis cell to work with the powers of the governor or to search for other mechanisms that will allow them to fill the vacuum until the next elections," said Qaddo, a deputy for Nineveh.

The House of Representatives postponed its session held on Thursday (May 2, 2019) vote on the dissolution of the Nineveh Provincial Council.
