Iranian official: These are our terms to negotiate with the Americans

Tehran revealed some of the conditions that Washington must implement to start the dialogue.
"The United States wants negotiations, but we are in an economic war, and starting negotiations requires a ceasefire," an Iranian official told Reuters.
The Iranian official revealed some of the conditions offered by the Islamic Republic in return for negotiations with the United States, adding that the first phase of the economic truce must be to ensure the ability of his country to sell its oil and get the proceeds.
"The Europeans must buy oil from us or give us money, and we must return to the level of export that was before the re-imposition of US sanctions."

Washington has repeatedly imposed sanctions on Tehran since last year when the United States pulled out of a nuclear deal with Iran in 2015 aimed at curbing Iran's nuclear program in exchange for sanctions. The administration of US President Donald Trump said that the agreement concluded under his predecessor Barack Obama does not do enough.
Trump said he would be willing to talk to Iranian leaders, but Tehran rejected such a offer unless Washington dropped sanctions.
