Legal: Governor of Wasit may be sentenced to imprisonment for 3 years

The legal expert Ali al-Tamimi said on Monday that the governor of Wasit Mohammed al-Mayahi may be sentenced to three years imprisonment after assaulting a police officer during the duty, pointing out that the governor does not have any legal immunity.
Al-Tamimi said in a statement to Al-Maaloumah that "article 63 of the constitution provides for granting immunity to deputies only and in a narrow range where the governor has no immunity, in addition to the governor must resort to legal methods by informing the police director to solve the problem of traffic congestion, Open an investigation against the pioneer.
