The head of the Supreme Islamic Council, Hamam Hamoudi, said Monday that the latter will visit Pakistan today at the head of a large delegation to discuss important projects with their presidencies.

He added that "Hamoudi will hold a series of meetings with President of the Republic Aref Alawi, Speaker of the Parliament Assad Kassir, and several Pakistani official bodies during which they will discuss the common relations and consolidate brotherly ties between the two peoples, opportunities for cooperation and ways to strengthen them to serve the interests of the peoples of both countries. Which is contributing to the consolidation of its security and stability and the creation of a convergent vision to solve the problems of the Islamic world and to protect it from external interference and internal conflicts. "

He added that "the meetings will be led by the investment opportunities in Iraq available to the Pakistani government and private sectors, and discuss industrial and development projects that the Iraqi government intends to implement within its program for the reconstruction of Iraq and the advancement of various aspects of life."

The head of the Iraqi delegation will deliver an invitation from the Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives Mohammed Halbusi to his Pakistani counterpart to visit Iraq.

Hamoudi and his delegation left Baghdad on Saturday, passing through Doha, where he met Hamad International Airport with Iraqi Ambassador Omar al-Barzanji, and discussed with him political developments and the conditions of the community.
