The digital economy is defined as one that relies mainly on the economics of digital technology and information technology.
The digital economy is the modern look of the now evolving economy as it is in line with the latest technological developments of the present era. The ICT and information sectors have become one of the most important drivers of economic growth in today's developed countries, with great potential in various areas of the modern economy.
In our country, it must work with all possible capabilities to take care of the digital economy because of its importance in driving growth and the development of our national economy, which is a key driver of the development process at present because of its great potential to help the economic system to develop and progress. The digital economy can contribute very effectively to the increase in Iraq's GDP, after paying the required attention and disseminating its applications optimally, and expanding its use and reliance on it in the joints of the Iraqi economy.
The more it expands, the greater its contribution to GDP, which means getting rid of the dependence on the profit economy that has characterized the Iraqi economy for decades and has been a weakness of our national economy.
Local minds and graduates can be invested and employed in the disciplines of information technology, computers, information systems, programming, artificial intelligence, communication technology and networks, and use them in building the digital economy in our country, which constitutes solutions to unemployment. By providing employment opportunities for these young local energies after being well trained for the roles and functions they can play in the areas of the digital economy, ensuring their development and improvement.
It also requires the construction of the infrastructure required for the digital economy, be it legislative, technological, industrial, human, financial, or in terms of providing the appropriate places for the establishment and support of digital economic projects and providing the required facilities for them and in a way that ensures It has success, continuity and development, contributing to the building and development of the digital economy in Iraq. All this calls on the competent authorities to encourage foreign investment by attracting reputable technology companies in setting up projects related to the digital economy. Attention to the digital economy and work to build, develop and expand it in Iraq has become a necessity in order to catch up with the great development of the world economy, which is now heavily dependent on it and attaches increasing importance, due to its great potential in the development of the system The economy and its increase dément and the extent to which it contributes to maximizing GDP in such a way that it increases its resources and digital inputs at the expense of traditional economic resources and inputs and keeps it in keeping with the scientific, technological and economic developments in the current era and Ensures success and sustainable prosperity.
