{Baghdad: Al Furat News} Member of the Parliamentary Labor Committee, Unisam Al-Gharawi, revealed that the cash-for-work contract was discussed in the presence of the Minister Basem Abdul-Zaman.
Gharawi said in a statement to her media office, which received {Al Furat News} a copy of it, “The Parliamentary Work Committee discussed with the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Dr. Bassem Abdel Zaman aspects related to some stages related to the emergency project agreement to support stability and resilience in Iraq.”
The minister stressed during the meeting, according to the statement, "the importance of involving the parliamentary committee in the ongoing discussions between the ministry and international organizations to implement the project, and studying the projects included within the project, especially with regard to the subject of {cash for work}."
The Parliamentary Labor Committee heard "the observations and proposals of the emergency project team on the issue of contracts and the road map agreed with the World Bank and the rest of the organizations to implement the project, while the importance of providing the Parliamentary Committee with all the observations and reports on the project was emphasized for consideration in preparation for their participation in future meetings."
The Minister directed "to hold a joint meeting between the Ministry and the Parliamentary Committee with the World Bank and other organizations to agree on a specific formula for the implementation of the emergency project agreement." is over
