The Baghdad governorate, Falah Al-Jaza’iri, announced that he would begin his duties as governor of Baghdad after being returned by the administrative judiciary and nullifying the decision of the dissolved provincial council that voted for his resignation.
The Algerian said in a statement reported by the Iraqi News Agency (conscious) and seen by him / the information / that, “From a legal point of view, we started working as a governor for Baghdad, in accordance with the administrative court’s decision, which is binding and obligatory to implement.” Actually. ”
He added that "the decision to dismiss him from the provincial council was based on a mistake and was not according to the legal frameworks and contrary to Article 37 of the law, which stipulates that the governor and his two deputies submit a written resignation addressed to the council, as it is the authority responsible for appointing or electing the governor."
Al-Jazaeri explained, “The administrative court’s decision canceled the dissolved Baghdad Provincial Council, which elected the current governor, Muhammad Jaber Al-Atta,” denying at the same time “a quarrel in the hands between his protection and the protection of the current governor, Muhammad Jaber Al-Atta.” End / 25
