Iraq is showing its willingness to operate a transit transport system with Iran

On Saturday, Transport Minister Nasser Hussein announced that Iraq is ready to work on a transit system with the Iranian side.
Hussein said in a statement, "Iraq is ready to work on a transit system (transit) with the Iranian side, based on the previously issued Diwaniya order, which allows Iraq to work in transit with neighboring countries such as Turkey, Syria and Jordan."
He added that "a meeting will be scheduled soon to resolve the agreement and work in transit."
