    The Pentagon confirmed that the recent attacks against US forces' positions in Iraq "did not cause casualties," but said it "reserves the right to respond."

    The spokesman for the ministry, John Kirby, said in a statement to the media, that the US forces "are helping the Iraqi forces to confront ISIS," stressing that "a limited number of our forces remain in Iraq."
    Kirby pointed out, to work with the Iraqi forces to find a "way to deal with the armed groups that target their forces in Iraq," explaining that "the attacks that targeted our forces in Iraq did not result in losses, nor did they achieve their goals."
    The spokesman added, "Iraqi forces are investigating operations that targeted US forces, and we have given them sufficient time to pursue investigations," stressing that "these attacks are a source of concern, and we will maintain adequate capabilities to achieve stability in the region."
    The spokesman refused to clarify the nature of the US administration's response to the recent attacks, but stressed that "an action will be taken."
    He also confirmed that his country's relations with the government and Iraqi forces are "strong," noting that the last round of the strategic dialogue "was distinctive and witnessed talk about military operations, methods and financing to strengthen the capabilities of the security forces in Iraq, the future of our dialogues and the mechanism for their implementation to create a roadmap for our future relations.
