The Presidency of the House of Representatives stated, in a statement that Al Furat News received a copy of, that it "held a meeting with the Health and Environment Committee to discuss the tragic accident at Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital in Baghdad."
She added, "It was decided to assign the Health and Environment Committee to exercise its oversight role by investigating the facts, to find out the causes of the accident and the negligence, and to engage in the field with the concerned authorities to collect data, information and facts and present them to the members of the House of Representatives in the special session tomorrow, Monday, devoted to discussing the accident."
