    Today, Sunday, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel Al-Rikabi announced the imminent release of loan funds for projects, while talking about the fate of the salaries of those covered by social protection who contracted with government departments.

    Al-Rikabi said, in a statement to "People" (April 16, 2021), "The beginning of next June will witness the release of funds for project loan applicants according to the applications submitted by the unemployed to establish their own projects."  
    He added, "There are daily workers who have turned into contractors and they are covered by social care. We asked the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to inquire about retrieving the salaries that they were receiving during their work as a daily procedure, and the answer was not that money is recovered."  
    He continued, "The contractors are cut off their social protection salary, and those who have turned to work must review the social protection departments to stop their salaries, so that they are not recovered accumulated in the future when their names are repeated in the database."  
    Al-Rikabi pointed out that "357 citizens of Dhi Qar governorate included in the social protection salary, as they were monitored by civil society organizations, and the social researcher will contact them after the Eid Al-Fitr holiday."  
    He explained that "the file of the respondents' financial allocations has not yet been resolved, and all respondents will be included with the social protection salary as soon as the financial allocations are launched."
