Today, Friday, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced the entry of 42 institutions, including ministries, independent bodies, and governorates, into the Ur portal program.
Haider Majeed, a spokesman for the General Secretariat, said, "The National Data Center Department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers continues its coordination procedures with all government institutions regarding the automation of government programs and services that are provided to citizens, and there is another continuous work after a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Interior regarding the establishment of a system to automate services." provided by the Ministry of the Interior in the departments of nationality and passports," noting that "last week, the center launched the service of revoking the validity of paper issuances for agencies issued by notaries' departments in 23 departments in Baghdad and the governorates, and continuous work to automate and cancel the validity of paper issuances in the rest of notaries' departments."
Majeed added, "The department launched a system that allows citizens to change the names of subscribers in the water and electricity paper, and this electronic program is through the Ur electronic portal, as well as the issue of canceling the validity of issuance in official institutions continues, and so far there are 42 institutions between a ministry, an independent body, and a governorate that have entered within this program." Pointing out that "these programs contribute to simplifying the procedures provided to citizens by bypassing bureaucracy and saving time, and the most important thing in this matter is the issue of eliminating administrative corruption and ending the case of forgery in official documents."
He stated that "continued work in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the purpose of government procedures related to consular departments in documents and ratifications, as well as there are programs we are working on with ministries. The stage now is the most important to automate all government services that are provided to citizens directly."
