{Politics: Al Furat News} The deputy for the National State Forces Alliance, Zahra Al-Bajari, revealed that a paragraph she described as "very important" had not been passed in the election law.

"There was a clause in the election law that all special ranks, agents, general directors and governors should submit their resignations as long as they have political blocs participating in the elections to prevent promotion at the expense of the state and exploiting the position," Al-Bajari said.
She added, "But this very important paragraph has not been approved, but unfortunately it has not been voted on because there are many who use the position for the purpose of promoting its bloc or its candidates."
"It is assumed that there will be oversight on this matter, especially as we approach the elections, and the political finances may affect them significantly," Al-Bajari asserted.
Iraq is preparing to hold early parliamentary elections on October 10.
According to the new electoral law in the country, 83 electoral districts will be distributed over all governorates, and they will be represented by 322 deputies by (3-5) representatives from each district.
The head of the Parliament's Regions and Governorates Committee, Sherwan Al-Dabardani, announced in a press statement that "a group of representatives have already submitted an appeal to the electoral districts articles stipulated in the new electoral law, before the Federal Court."
With regard to the validity of the appeal, which the court is considering about 3 months before the date of the elections, Al-Dabardani explained that "the appeal is legal according to the rules, and the court alone has the right to decide on this request, especially since it was necessary to abide by a law that considers the governorate a single electoral district, instead of the current division." .
In December 2019, the parliament voted on a new electoral law that divides the provinces into multiple electoral districts in which the candidacy is individual, in response to the demands of the popular movement, which was also able to change the election commission.
