Parliamentary Finance: The current low exchange rate does not mean the return of the dollar to the old price

    2021-06-25 07:06
The parliamentary finance committee said on Friday that the dollar's depreciation of the dinar does not mean a return to the previous price.

"Last week, the parliamentary finance committee hosted Central Bank Governor Mustafa Ghalib, and discussed the steps the Bank has promised to implement to minimize the repercussions and implications of changing the exchange rate," committee member Jamal Koger told Shafaq News.

"The low exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar and the rise in oil prices do not mean that an exchange rate of 100 dollars will return to 118,000 dinars," he said.

"All recent meetings and discussions will not work without a decision by the government, the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank to restore the dollar exchange rate to the former," Cougar said.
