Today, Friday, the Border Ports Authority announced the seizure of materials in violation of import terms and controls in the northern port of Umm Qasr.
A statement by the authority, received by the "National News Center", stated that "the northern port of Umm Qasr port was able to seize a container containing (5) forklifts hidden behind spare tools used for smuggling."
The statement added, "The materials were seized outside the customs campus at the search and investigation point, as they were in violation of the terms and controls of import," pointing out that "they were referred to the judiciary to take legal measures against violators."
