    {Local: Al Furat News} Iraq and Saudi Arabia have reached important solutions at the Arar border crossing between the two countries.
    A statement by the Iraqi Ministry of Transport stated that the agency {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, "The Committee on Transport and Border Ports met today. The Iraqi side was headed by the head of the Border Ports Authority Omar Al-Waeli and the membership of the Director General of the General Company for the Implementation of Transport Projects Zaid Khalil Al-Asadi and Secretary of the Committee, Sarmad Taha, Director General of Exhibitions and Services Trade, a representative of the customs authority and a representative of land transport.
    He pointed out that the meeting was also attended by "the Saudi ambassador to Iraq, Abdul Aziz Al-Shamri, the governor of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, Suhail Aba Nami, and Rumaih Muhammad Al-Rumaih, head of the Transportation Authority, and his accompanying delegation."
    According to the statement, the two sides discussed "topics and roaming in the corridors of the port."
    The head of the Ports Authority, Omar Al-Waeli, confirmed that "points have been established to solve the obstacles that were facing the port to increase the volume of trade exchange through electronic automation between the two ports and to facilitate the procedures for entering goods for both countries." 
    For his part, Zaid Al-Asadi, Director General of the General Company for the Implementation of Transport and Communications Projects and Secretary of the Committee, confirmed, "the agreement to open a special office to certify certificates issued by the Ministry of Trade and to give priority to Iraqi importers and exporters alike, to follow up on the trade exchange arena and to coordinate the construction of the road for Saudi investment companies with the secretariat of the Committee, and to activate transit." Facilitating all procedures that would increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.
