An informed political source confirmed that the current Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, is still the closest and most likely to take over the premiership again as a compromise candidate who does not belong to any political party.
The source explained that the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, believes that Al-Kazemi has succeeded in most of the tasks that were entrusted to him when forming the government, especially progress in the field of foreign relations, and he wants that progress to continue, and he did not express any opposition to assigning Al-Kazemi to head the new government. The source pointed out that Al-Kazemi has good and stable relations with the Kurdish blocs as well as the Sunni blocs, in addition to the presence of international and regional acceptance, and on this basis the opposition of the militias will have little effect on re-assigning Al-Kazemi to the position of prime minister.
