The National Investment Authority announced today, Wednesday, the start of offering commercial projects for the benefit of the people of Basmaya Complex, while setting a date for the Korean company to return to work in the complex.
“The authority is working to start commercial projects for the benefit of the people inside the Basmaya complex,” said Soha Al-Najjar, the head of the authority, noting that “these projects will be outside the framework of the Korean company’s work.”
She explained, "The commercial facilities will be referred to investment, and then small projects will be offered for investment by the residents of the complex, thus turning those projects into an economic unit."
She pointed out that "the return of the Korean company to work in the Basmaya complex will take place after the financial disputes are resolved, as there is a major material dispute with the Korean company, in addition to a lack of funding, and we must find alternative sources of funding."
And she added, "Basmaya's project is very large, and it was followed by many complications."
