    {Economic: Al Furat News} A spokesman for the Iranian Customs Authority, Ruhollah Latifi, confirmed today, Saturday, that Iraq topped the list of the 15 countries neighboring Iran in terms of importing goods during the period from March 21 to November 20, 2021.
    Latifi said in a statement today, Saturday, that "Iraq imported during the mentioned period, 21.636 million tons of Iranian goods, worth 6.133 billion dollars, followed by Turkey with 11.351 million tons, worth 3.768 billion dollars, and the UAE 7.289 million tons with 2.935 billion dollars."
    He added that "Afghanistan came fourth in the ranking, with 3.057 million tons and 1.271 billion dollars, and Pakistan 1.866 million tons with a value of 764 million dollars."
    The spokesman referred to the rest of the order of neighboring countries in importing goods from Iran, noting that Russia imported 697,000 tons worth 370 million dollars, Oman 1.243 million tons worth 363 million dollars, Azerbaijan 554,000 tons worth 336 million dollars, Armenia 787 thousand tons worth 211 million dollars, and Turkmenistan 895 thousand tons at a value of 20 million dollars, Kazakhstan 312 thousand tons and 113 million dollars, Qatar 784 thousand tons at 97 million dollars, Kuwait 1.912 million tons at 91 million dollars, Bahrain 7,600 tons at 5 million dollars and Saudi Arabia 428 tons at 41 thousand dollars.
    The spokesman stressed that liquefied gas, oil derivatives and petrochemicals, respectively, accounted for 50 percent and 40 percent of the volume and price of Iranian goods exported to neighboring countries in the first eight months of the current fiscal year, and the rest included foodstuffs, agricultural and industrial products, construction materials and minerals.
