The Ministry of Transport, represented by the Technical Department, held, on Tuesday, an expanded meeting at the Ministry’s headquarters regarding the study of establishing a dry port to facilitate the transportation of commercial goods in Iraq, headed by Hussein Abdullah Fantal, an employee in the Technical Department, and in the presence of a number of representatives of the Ministry’s formations.
According to a statement by the ministry, Mawazine News received a copy of it, the meeting touched on the topic of discussing the study prepared by the specialists in the ministry and all its formations on the establishment of this important, vital and advanced project because of its advanced strategic goals that contribute to improving the level of advanced logistics services, which contributes to increasing The movement of exports and imports and raising part of the momentum of Iraqi ports.
Hussein Abdullah said this came in line with the directives of the Minister of Transport, Captain Nasser Hussein Bandar Al-Shibli, and the follow-up of the Director General of the Technical Department, Captain Kifah Hassan, on the necessity of teamwork in the service of the public interest.
It is noteworthy that this project is in keeping with the development taking place in multimodal transport operations and facilitating the process of internal and external trade and transit movement, thus revitalizing the economic movement in Iraq. Ended 29/R77
