    The Information/Baghdad...
The German company Siemens is close to constructing a 450-megawatt power plant and maintaining and rehabilitating electrical stations in Dhi Qar Governorate.
Deputy Governor Rafe' al-Shami said in a statement to "Al-Sabah" newspaper, which was seen by "The Information", that "the governorate has concluded an agreement with the German Siemens company that includes the establishment of an electrical station in the governorate with a capacity of 450 megawatts."
Al-Shami added that the project consists of 9 gas units and will be implemented within a year from the start date, noting that “the project aims to add new capacities to generate electric power in the governorate.”
He pointed out that "the agreement with Siemens also included the rehabilitation and maintenance of the existing generation stations, as it will open a new phase of cooperation with this global giant in the electricity sector." finished/25
