He added, "The Minister of Electricity announced the imminent signing of an important contract with the German company Siemens to build a transformer station with a capacity of 1,500 megawatts as part of the ministry's strategy to fill the shortfall in energy production, which currently amounts to 12,000 megawatts."
And he continued, "The completion of a station of this size in Diyala will lead to the creation of high flexibility in the continuity of electricity and a radical treatment of its interruptions that reach for long hours, especially in peak seasons."
