The Central Bank of Iraq's foreign currency sales recorded, today, Monday, a new decline, down by about $137 million.
Sales of the Central Bank decreased during its auction of buying and selling US dollars, reaching 136 million and 596 thousand dollars, a decrease of approximately 27%, or approximately 50 million dollars, from sales last Sunday.
Foreign remittances recorded a decline to more than 136 million dollars, in the form of requests to enhance balances abroad, and accounted for 99.7% of total sales.
Twenty-three banks fulfilled requests to enhance balances abroad, compared to only two banks to meet cash requests, with the participation of one brokerage company and no exchange companies. Ended 29 / 92
