    He pointed out that he “presented a road map to save one million Iraqis in Diyala who would be affected by the deadly drought, the most prominent of which is the financing of urgent maintenance for all pump facilities, the Asfal Al-Khalis project, which is currently the lifeline of Baquba and other cities after the waters of the Khurasan River receded, in addition to the possibility of delivering the waters of the Tigris River to Diyala River via Pipe networks to secure water for the entire southern Diyala regions, with all stations connected to emergency power lines to increase their capacity to pump water around the clock.
