    With the support of Peace Ambassador Naseer Shamma and the Association of Iraqi Private Banks, the Iraqi Army team began preparations for the workshop to save the marshes from the danger of drought and desertification due to the lack of water.
    The team held an extensive meeting during which they discussed the reality of the marshes and the solutions and treatments that can be reached during the workshop, which is expected to be held on the 18th of October.
    Participants at the meeting reviewed the deplorable situation in which the marshes are currently experiencing, the effects of which are endangering the lives of their local inhabitants and the possibility that they will be removed from the World Heritage List as a result of their loss of survival. The proportion of less than 50% ؜ should be reached during the period of water scarcity, resulting in increased migration rates of marsh dwellers to other areas.
    The participants pointed out that with the decline in the water levels in the Tigris and Euphrates rivers and the lack of rain, but there is another problem is the large excesses on quotas planned by the provinces as well as the existence of thousands of lakes of fish that are not certified and that drain large amounts of water .. To take firm and firm measures against the infringers and to grant water resources managers legal powers to deal with such abuses.
    The participants in the meeting stressed the need to form a water police similar to the oil and electricity police because water is the source of life and can not be compromised in any way, as well as the possibility of using the principle of oil for water in order to pressure the neighboring countries with Iraq to get full water dues .. Also calling To the need to reduce the areas cultivated with the crop of plum because it consumes large quantities of water without the economic feasibility of this non-streagic crop.
    The meeting stressed the need to carry out awareness campaigns on the importance of the marshes through programs, dialogues and various television materials and open horizons for cooperation with the Iraqi Media Network in this context, as well as holding educational seminars and directing messages to various political events, foremost of which is the House of Representatives to be conscientious to conservation efforts in the marshes, As well as to seek further international support through a public relations campaign to gain the support and support of UNESCO and influential international figures.
    The meeting was attended by the UNESCO Peace Ambassador Naseer Shamma, with the participation of an Iraqi delegation. The event was a high cry, with which the international community reacted with great interest. , Which resulted in the transfer of the merits of the effectiveness of Paris to the Internet and was seen by more than 1200 people from around the world.
    The meeting, which was attended by the President of the Association of Iraqi Private Banks and a number of experts and specialists in the field of water and wetlands, decided to continue intensive work to prepare for the workshop to be held on the 18th of October.
