Barzani's headquarters: The relationship with Al-Sadr is solid, and the lack of political communication came out of respect for the month of Ramadan
Shafaq News/ On Friday, Barzani's headquarters refuted the allegations that the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, did not respond to the call of Kurdish leader Massoud Barzani.
The headquarters stated in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency/ that "some Iraqi and Kurdish media circulated incorrect news claiming that Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr does not respond to President Barzani's calls."
The statement added; "To clarify the truth for public opinion in Iraq and Kurdistan, we affirm that this issue is baseless, and it is far from the truth of the great respect, deep trust and strong relationship between President Barzani and Muqtada al-Sadr." He pointed out that "those who spread such rumors aim to cover up their failures and failures in the political process," noting that "some took advantage of the lack of political communication in appreciation of the blessed month of Ramadan and fabricated these fabricated news."
Yesterday, Thursday, the Sadrist movement denied holding political meetings with the coordination framework related to the government formation, stressing its adherence to its tripartite alliance with the Democratic Party and Sovereignty.
This came in a joint statement by Hassan Al-Adhari, head of the Sadrist bloc in the Iraqi parliament, and Ahmed Al-Mutairi, head of the Sadrist movement's political body.
