    The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hakim Al-Zamili, chaired, today, Tuesday, a meeting of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, with the European Parliamentary Delegation for Foreign Affairs, and the European Subcommittee on Security and Defense in the European Union.


    Al-Zamili said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, "Iraq has defeated terrorism with its modest capabilities, because it has a cohesive civilization, history and people, and that terrorism was scheduled to target Arab and Islamic countries and the whole world, and the responsibility for confronting it must be" shared, stressing "the need to present Laws that serve the security establishment and develop its expertise and capabilities, because the threat of terrorism still exists."






    He added, "The Islamic countries' rejection of extremism and terrorism pushed it to recede and return to Europe." Efforts and permanent cooperation with the European Union because of its unique capabilities and expertise in the fields of training, armament and advice.

    For its part, the European delegation affirmed that "the challenges are common in confronting the threat of extremism and terrorism, and that the Iraqis were brave in confronting this danger, stressing their continued support for Iraq in the health fields, removing mines and providing security advice and others."
