    A member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Ghiath al-Sorji, confirmed that the Democratic Party came to Sulaymaniyah for dialogue with the Patriotic Union, despite his realization that the Union did not give up its candidate for the presidency, Barham Salih.

    He pointed out that "there are question marks on the Democratic Party after it presented the dialogue initiative with the Union, followed by the assertion of insistence on its candidate, Reber Ahmed, which confirms the existence of a split within this party, especially between the wings of Nechirvan Barzani and Masrour Barzani, although the statement of the existence of the division was not issued by the party.
